Tea, two leaves and a bud, acres and acres of rolling hills covered with tea bushes, surrounding evergreen forest, orchids, flowers, wild animals, water streams, waterfalls, a house on a hill top with the sound of silence opens the window of tea tourism concept in India. Modern day tea planters in India converted their British-built bungalows in to luxury lodgings, to cater the new revenue opportunities.Tourists, tea lovers, and globetrotters from all over the world started visiting these luxury resorts to experience and enjoy British Raj type luxury, nature, forest and taste the Champagne of teas or Cognac of teas.

It gains popularity among the foreigners, whose fathers, grandfathers and even great grandfathers spent their lives in the tea gardens in India. Many of those who spent their early days in the tea gardens of India, but are now settled in their own countries, have fond memories.A few days stay in tea plantations is like a journey down memory lane.
